Medline is a research tool for medical physicians. It is a series of abstracts outlining the most current information on medical conditions. Each abstract lists what the study was trying to find out and what the conclusions were. It gives the consumer a better idea of what is available in modern medicine that may impact their health choices.

To access a condition, simply type in the name of the condition. You may want to narrow your search. For instance, if you were interested in researching prostate cancer and radiation treatment side effects, you would put both categories in a single entry - "prostate cancer AND radiation treatment side effects. Some of the articles will be too technical, but many are not. To do any serious medical research, it is a good idea to buy Taber's Medical Dictionary.
